Fun Fourth of July Outfits

How is it possible June is almost over!? Is it just me or did this month fly by? With that being said, July 4th is days away and I cannot wait. July 4th has to be one of my top three favorite holidays! It is such a fun day with powerful meaning and it's in the summertime. Every Fourth of July we make sure to have fun plans and I of course have an outfit planned ahead of time! What are you planning on doing for the fourth? I can't wait to see all the fun pictures from cookouts, pool parties, fireworks, baseball games, and all the outfits that come with it.

If you are still looking for something to wear for the fourth, you still have time! There are some super cute options out there. I have rounded up some of my favorite affordable pieces that can all be worn more than once and multiple ways. The first five items I have to share are from one of my favorite retailers- Forever 21 (obviously).

I wanted to find looks for the Fourth that can be worn more than one time. One of my favorite pieces here are these amazing distressed jeans.

These jeans are under $30 and can be worn this summer and into the fall. The color of them is great! I thinK the star hoops would be so fun with the white blouse and red and white striped skirt! I would pair that outfit with wedges or sneakers.

The next five items are from Vestique, which is another one of my favorite retailers. My favorite thing about the items I picked out from Vestique are not only affordable, but they are all great pieces you can add to your summer wardrobe. The white eyelet romper (which actually looks like a dress) is exactly what I plan on wearing for the Fourth! I love this paired with colorful shoes or everyday wedges like these ones. I also love this blue and white striped skirt with a white blouse or fun graphic t-shirt. I am sure there are some adorable graphic t-shirts that are American themed for the fourth!

Revolve Sale

Revolve is one of my guilty pleasure online places to shop. The items and brands that they sell are so on trend, so fun, and are great quality. They just marked down a ton of this seasons items. This is a great time to buy up some fun pieces for your wardrobe as summer is starting. 3. Superdown Trina Wrap Skort

I love a good skort. This one is the prettiest color! I would pair this with a silky tank or bodysuit and a blazer. But, would also look cute with chunky white sweater and snakeskin booties for fall. Now I've convinced myself I need it 🙂

4. Superdown Laina Mini Skirt 

This pretty skirt is high-waisted and would look gorgeous with any neutral colored top. I think this particular color skirt would go great with an animal print tank. You can make the outfit more on trend by pairing it with some fun clear shoes!

5. EIGHT by GJENMI JEWELRY Karma Earrings

Love a good classic gold hoop earring. These give a fun spin on the traditional hoops because they have a fun stud at the top. I would wear these with every outfit listed here. Staple piece in my opinion.

6. By the Way Carla Faux Suede Bodysuit

This bodysuit is so cute! I love the structured look of it and the fact that it is faux suede makes it so fun for now paired as is, or in the fall paired with a blazer or cardigan. This bodysuit will take you through many outfits. I need it!

7. By the Way Jagger Skinny Jeans

I think every wardrobe needs a great pair of high-waisted distressed denim to pair with girly bodysuits, tanks, and blouses. I love the distressing on these and would actually pair these with the bodysuit above and some fun snakeskin shoes.

8. Superdown Christie Pull Over Sweater

I love the slouchy look of this sweater. To me, slouchy sweaters are so fun for summer. They add almost a sexy- coziness look to any pair of shorts or skirts. You can easily transition this from summer to fall as well.

9. Free People Jesse Carpenter Short

These shorts look so fun! I like how they are different than the traditional white jean shorts. I also am a huge fan of the button all the way up trend. I would pair these with either of the slouchy sweaters for my upcoming beach trip.

10. Free People Best of You Sweater

This is the only item in the whole post that is a little over $50, but I always feel like you get what you pay for and Free People is a great brand. I absolutely love the purple of this sweater and would wear it now and into the fall. If purple isn't for you, it also comes in an orange that I know will be perfect for fall and cute mini skirt.

Princess Polly Haul

If you have never shopped Princess Polly before, it is time to start! They have some of the cutest dresses, skirts, tops, and playsuits. Along with their cute options, they also have great shipping to the US and often offer lots of promo codes on your order.

When ordering from Princess Polly, I read a few sizing recommendations. In the taupe floral dress, I got a US size 6, which is perfect because it is very flowy. For the white floral dress, I got a US size 8, but could have gone up one size. In the playsuit, I got a US size 6, but do wish I had sized up one. I like a little extra length in my rompers!

I think my favorite thing from this whole order is the taupe floral dress. It is perfect for an event in the summer, fall with booties and a hat, and winter with tall boots! Wedding Guest Attire

Going to a wedding is one of the most fun things to do. You get to celebrate people you love, dance, eat, drink, and get all dressed up! Who doesn't love to get dressed up? I always love to see the dresses people wear to a wedding and I also love to look online for dresses and imagine wearing it to a wedding!

Recently, we went to our friends wedding and had the best time ever. Everything about the wedding was beautiful, the couple, the speeches, the decor, the food, the dancing- it was a perfect wedding. For this wedding, I found a beautiful mint-blue dress from Asos last minute and paired it with some clear high heels from there as well. The clear shoe trend is SO good right now. This dress was around 40 dollars and was gorgeous. I was comfortable all night and was able to dance freely! Highly recommend it.

When you are deciding on what to wear to the wedding, think about the type of wedding you are going to- is it outside, is it in a church, is it casual, is it black tie? All of these questions are good to have in your head before putting on a dress and going to the wedding. And remember- it's a wedding! Dress up!!

Memorial Day Sales

Happy Memorial Day Weekend! I hope everyone is having a terrific long weekend and has taken a moment to remember those who have given the ultimate sacrifice for us to live in freedom.

Nordstrom Half Yearly Sale

This sale goes until June 2nd and it has a ton of great deals! Nordstrom is one of my favorite places to buy shoes. For this particular sale, the shoes are very very good. The sale also includes the beautiful ASTR the Label lace dress everyone loves (I own in white and it is stunning). I picked out some of my favorite shoes included in the sale, but be sure to check it out- they have bags, jewelry, clothing, and accessories all on sale.

Lulu's 30% off Sale

Lulu's sale right now is SO SO good! All of their sale items are 30% off with code, BEACH30. The items they have included in the sale are simply adorable. Just scrolling through the site I had to gain some serious self control because I want it all! If you are going on a summer vacation, I would shop this sale ASAP because there are so many good rompers, two piece sets, sandals, jumpsuits, and dresses for great prices.

Styling Graphic T-Shirts

I am a new fan of all the fun graphic t-shirts out right now. They are so fun to style with a fun stylish skirt, shorts, or pair of pants. I will admit when I first noticed the trend of graphic tees, I was hesitant to try it out because it was a little out of my comfort zone. On our recent trip to Nashville, I asked my dad if he would pack me one of his band tees so I could style it with a leather skort. Sure enough, he packed me a Metallica t-shirt from the 80's and it looked AMAZING with a leather skort and lace up heels. Again- out of my comfort zone, but so so fun to try. Remember to always try to push out of your comfort zone when it comes to trends! You will be pleasantly surprised.

The first graphic t-shirt that I am styling is from Vestique- one of my absolute favorite boutiques to shop. If you have not shopped them yet, I highly encourage you to. Their stuff is so awesome! I have styled this shirt three simple and very different ways. Each way of styling it can be worn for different reasons- concert, night out, casual dinner or lunch. I love the look of the t-shirt being a little oversized, and tying it up at the waist. It gives it a more pulled together look and is very flattering. You could also easily front tuck it into a pair of jeans and be good to go.

The way I have paired the t-shirt here is a way I would actually wear it all the time. I have it paired with a pair of cut off high-waist denim shorts and fun snakeskin print heels. This look is fun for going out with friends on or could be dressed down with flat sandals for running errands. This exact pair of shorts is from Forever 21 last year, but I will link similar styles at the end of the post! These snakeskin shoes are incredible and Steve Madden, from Marshalls! I couldn’t even believe it!

The second way I am styling the t-shirt is with a faux leather skort and lace up black heels. This look is a great weekend outfit or even better for a concert. I love how the faux leather skort makes the t-shirt have an edgier look.

The final way I have styled this graphic t-shirt is with a silky mid-length leopard skirt that I just found this past weekend at Forever 21. This skirt is amazing and only $20!! I had been on the hunt for an animal print mid-length skirt to style with t-shirts and this one not only looks great but was also very affordable. Thank you Forever 21! This whole outfit is very out of my typical style but it is fun to try new things and I think this would be such a cute outfit for a dinner date or night with friends. You could easily style this down by pairing the skirt with a pair of white sneakers, maybe some Golden Goose look-alikes :)!

There you go! Three simple ways to style a graphic t-shirt all with items you might even have in your closet.

Lastly, I have styled one more graphic t-shirt (tank) with a pretty ruffled skirt and the same snakeskin heels. Both the tank and skirt are from Vestique and I just think pairing the tank with a skirt and heels gives it such a feminine vibe. I think this is my favorite look out of all!

Amazon Finds Under $50

Not only is Amazon a marketplace for everything needed in your home it's quickly becoming a place where you can find amazing clothing pieces for really great prices. When it comes to shopping ON Amazon, I pay close attention to reviews. The reviews are super helpful to see if the quality of the item is good and how it fits. So, if you are ever nervous about ordering clothes from Amazon- don't be! Read the reviews and shop away. Also, it's a definite plus if it is on Prime- hello two day shipping!

My shopping bag on Amazon recently has been strictly dresses, bathing suits, and accessories. Really gearing up for summer! The first outfit I am sharing is a precious floral romper that has sheer sleeves, has an open back, and would be perfect for a vacation or fun occasion. I ordered a large in the romper, but would prefer a medium as the sleeves are kind of long! This rompers quality is very good and was only $25! I paired this romper with the prettiest earrings also from Amazon and such a good price. The earrings come in so many fun colors and look super similar to pair from BaubleBar. Love love them!

The next dress I have is a gorgeous white lace overlay one that I posted on my stories earlier this week. This dress is SO SO good. I got the white in a size large, which is perfect for work. If you want the dress for work, size up, if you want it for more fun type events, go normal size. When I got this dress in the mail, I was ecstatic- the quality of it is shockingly good. For work, I paired it with a jean jacket and nude heels and it was perfect. This dress also comes in the prettiest baby blue color!

I paired this dress with another fun pair of earrings I just got from Amazon, that are another amazing dupe of a pair from BaubleBar at a fraction of the price. I am obsessed with white beaded earrings lately and thankfully just got these in to further that obsession. I have literally been wearing the same white beaded earrings almost every other day!

Here is a close up of the earrings I just got in. The two white ones came in a two pack- which is perfect and the blue one is sold on its own. I already want to order more! If you're looking for fun statement earrings for the summer, these are the ones you need.

Forever 21 Spring Outfits

I have been obsessing over Forever 21's new arrivals. I recently had two orders from them with a few pieces that I really love. To me, shopping at Forever 21 is always a favorite thing to do. I use their app and shop the "New Arrivals" category all the time. You do have to go through and really search, but I would say that most things are really very good. Personally, I have so much more luck shopping online with Forever 21 than in the store.

The first outfit is this beautiful floral baby blue maxi skirt. I saw this online and knew I had to have it! I could not wait to pair it with a white top. The best part is that it is on sale right now for $18! The material of it feels great and cool for spring. I am wearing a size medium and will say it fits true to size. It hits me right at my ankles which is perfect. I am 5' 3", so it may run a little shorter on you if you are taller! I paired it with a sweet sweater tank also from Forever 21, that I have been able to wear with so many different outfits. I have a size large in the tank top. The top is only $13!! That is a need in my opinion!

The next outfit is this stunning white dress. I could not even believe this was from Forever 21 when I first saw it online. The whole dress has beautiful embroidered floral detailing and looks stunning on. I love the lace up detail of the top and that you can adjust the fit of it. I am wearing a medium in this, but do feel it is snug, so I would size up, unless you don't mind a snug fit. I just cannot wait to wear this for some type of fun event this spring and summer- hopefully a concert :)!

If you are a bride, graduate, or just in need of a fun dress for a party- this should be a top contender! The price of it is a little more than I would typically spend from Forever 21, but I do think it is great quality and will make you stand out for sure. Just absolutely love this dress. Why couldn't I have this when I was a bride?!

This next outfit is just so precious. I am all about two piece sets lately and when I saw this one online, I loved it immediately. They had it styled on the model perfectly that I also bought shoes (which are equally amazing) and earrings as well to match. This particular set is sold separately, but you can wear both pieces with different tops or bottoms. The set is a linen type of material and feels much more expensive than it was. Yes please! It is also from the Contemporary line, which is my favorite line to shop within Forever 21. Any item I have from the Contemporary line is beautifully made and fits so well. In both the top and bottom I am wearing a medium, but could have sized up to a large.

The very last outfit I have is another two piece set and it comes sold together. It is a beautiful baby blue color and I knew I could pair both the shorts and blazer separately whenever I wanted to. If you haven't noticed already, two piece sets are very in this spring and I love them! The material of this set is great and is super easy to steam if it gets wrinkled. I have it paired with the same ribbed sweater tank from earlier. I am wearing a medium in this set and it fits very true to size. You could make this outfit a more casual look by wearing it with smaller heels out to dinner or anywhere! This particular set is sold out (maybe it will come back in stock :))

Sephora Favorites

If you are anything like me you are ready to try all new make up as we take on the Spring and Summer temperatures. I feel like the same primers and setting powders that I use in the Fall and Winter do not always work the same for the Spring and Summer! Plus it is so fun to find new favorites and share. I also love using the Spring to try out new blush shades, bronzer, tanning lotions, and eye shadows. Basically everything.

I have so many new obsessions and wants right now that I have to limit myself from the Sephora app! Luckily, the Rogue sale just opened up so I can grab some new products on sale.

Here are some of my current favorites for Spring.

Primer- Hourglass Mineral Veil: This stuff is just incredible. If you get oily throughout the day because of humidity- this is a must. It also helps your make up go on beautifully and last all day.

Setting Powder- Becca Soft Light Blurring Powder: This is amazing but a bit of a splurge in my opinion. I love all things Becca and the good thing about setting powders is that they will last you a couple of months and you will get your money's worth. The newest setting powder I am currently swooning over is the Fenty Beauty Setting Powder in Lavender. It is so so good. It does exactly what it says it will and truly brightens your under eyes! An absolute need.

Foundation- Fenty Beauty Soft Matte Longwear Foundation: I am still stuck on this foundation. It is just amazing and meets all my foundation dreams. I use color 180 and apply with a brush! This is a must.

Eyebrow Pencil- Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz in Taupe: This is a holy grail to me in my make up routine. Currently Sephora is selling a Power Duo kit including the Brow Wiz and a travel size Dipbrow Gel. I have this in my shopping cart right now! I have never tried the dipbrow gel before but cannot wait to see how it works.

Mascara: Lancome Monsieur Big Mascara: I am obsessed with this mascara! It makes your lashes so full and beautiful. Using this in combination with a primer is perfect. Right now Sephora is selling a Bigger Bolder Lash Kit including the mascara, a travel sized primer and mascara. Yes yes yes!! Time to stock up.

Blush and Highlighter: Cover FX Perfector Face Palette: I absolutely love this palette. The blush and bronzer colors in the palette are just gorgeous. It also has three beautiful highlighters in it that I use every single day.

These are not all the products I use but some of the ones that I have been using and just loving so much. AND Sephora is running their sale! Perfect time to stock up on any bigger items you might need.

Spring Style

Who else is patiently (or impatiently) awaiting spring like I am?! I can't help but shop all of the adorable spring styles that are out right now. Everything I see, I feel like I need! Which is obviously very dangerous.

One of my favorite places to shop lately has been Forever 21. I am a huge Forever 21 fan and have been for years! The selection they have out already for this spring is to die for. I have already rounded up some of my favorites that I know I will love this spring. All of my favorite trends are all over Forever 21 right now and at great prices. I love shopping at Forever 21 for all things trendy because of their prices! I am never afraid to get something to try it out, which is a great way to push yourself in fashion. When you are looking for more on trend pieces, try budget friendly places first. I recently picked up these fun palazzo pants, tan sweater tank, and straw earrings from Forever 21 and cannot wait to wear them out this spring. I love these pants because they can be styled so many ways. As soon as I saw them I envisioned wearing them with a white blouse and white blazer for work! So adorable and fun!

If you don't have it already, download their app. I have found that shopping online has been much more successful for me when it comes to shopping with Forever 21. Whenever I have free time, I open up the app and click, "New Arrivals" and scroll through to the good stuff. They are continuously adding new items and as always, they are are all so affordable.
