Gift Guide for Her

Red and White Christmas Sales Trifold Brochure (3)

Finally, my gift guide for her! I picked out some of my favorite items and many of my wish list items that I have been eyeing for this gift guide. I don't know about you all, but I love to recieve gifts for Christmas that I wouldn't typically buy myself. These are all items I am loving. Why am I so obsessed with jewelry right now?! Along with all the jewelry, I am loving all the beanies out for winter. I love this two piece set from Nordstrom that comes with a beanie and a scarf. I think any girl would love this and it comes in another color if pink isn't for you!

If you happen to shop any of these items for yourself or for a gift, be sure to head to Baublebar's website. They are having a sale for 25% off full price items! Use code Festive25 for the discount. I am obsessed with all their bracelets, especially this customizable bracelet. I actually had Tyler get it for me for Christmas with our baby's initials. I cannot wait to wear it! I think this custom bracelet would be so fun stacked with these other fun bracelets they have as well.

I hope this helps some of you find gifts for some of the girls on your list! Happy Shopping 🙂

Jess

Fall Styles with The Mint Julep Boutique

I have recently styled some new fall pieces with The Mint Julep Boutique and they are so so good! The styles I picked out are all ones that I can wear multiple ways. My first piece from them is this gorgeous leopard print cardigan. I love this to style with leggings and a black t-shirt, but also with white jeans and a white tank. It can also easily be dressed up with a black bodycon dress.

IMG_1214

The next item I have styled from The Mint Julep is this cozy taupe tunic. I love this tunic so much because it is long and can be worn SO many ways. I have it styled here with my faux leather leggings and long plaid scarf. I plan on wearing this tunic so many times this fall and winter and now I feel like I need it in multiple colors! The material of the tunic is so soft and the high low hemline is perfect with leggings. This is a must in your closet! The tunic fits true to size.

I’m Pregnant! First Trimester Update

This blog post is very different than any of my others because it has nothing relating to fashion or beauty :). It is just a life update! I plan on doing these for each trimester!

Finding out we were pregnant was the best surprise ever. Let me start off this blog post by saying how grateful we are that it happened how it did for us. My heart goes out to anyone who is trying to conceive and has not been able to yet. I know that in God's plan it will happen for you.

We first found out we were pregnant on the Thursday before Memorial Day Weekend! It was the end of the school year, and naturally I was complaining about being tired at school and just very hungry- I thought it was about to be my time of the month and I was working out a lot at the time. One of my teammates, pulled me aside and said ,"You know, you've been complaining about hunger and being tired. Could there be a bun in the oven?" She was totally joking at the time and I responded by saying oh no way, but could not stop thinking about it all day. I texted Tyler the story and rushed home after school and to my luck had a pregnancy test. I took it right away and to my SURPRISE it displayed the FAINTEST positive ever. I was shocked and could not stop staring at it! I sent it to Tyler, who was in a faculty meeting at the time (oops), and said is this real?! He said he couldn't see much, but we would check when we got home. When he got home, he saw exactly what I was seeing. I then planned to take a test Friday morning, when my hormones were higher. Sure enough, at 5 am, I had another positive- this time more CLEAR! We were so excited. I could hardly get through the day at school because I couldn't stop thinking about it! Finally, to confirm I took one more test on Monday that said "Pregnant" or "Not Pregnant" and it came out as pregnant! We knew right then and there this was happening and we were elated.

IMG_7312

When I reflect back on the first trimester, I truly can't believe how fast it went. For me, it was a little difficult, however I am so so lucky that I did not experience morning sickness. My symptoms included being exhausted and nauseous constantly. From weeks five through about week 11, I would feel sick just from moving from about 10 am to 4-5pm each day. My mom and Tyler are fantastic and always made sure I was snacking on crackers or something at all times (this really helped)! One of my friends also told me to start taking my prenatals at NIGHT instead of the morning and this helped significantly! It was like I faced any of the nausea while I was asleep and had minimal issues during the day! I was also so lucky that I am a teacher and was out for the summer and only had three weeks of summer school to work. Everyday after summer school I would come home and sleep for almost 2 hours (might as well get it in now while I can)!

The fist time we got to see the baby was so emotional- but the happiest emotional feeling you can imagine. It was at 9 weeks and one of the best days to date for me. Seeing the baby pop up on the screen during the ultrasound was incredible- the baby was SO small! Our doctor referred to it as a "Teddy Graham Baby" and she couldn't be more right, because the baby looked just like that! Once the heartbeat came through I simply couldn't believe it. I started crying right away and couldn't get over the speed! Tyler recorded all of it and I watch it all the time.

We are now 15 weeks and can't stop feeling grateful. My body is changing so fast and while at times that can be hard (clothing wise), it is amazing to realize what our bodies can do. So far the beginning of the second trimester has been wonderful and we pray that it continues going well!

Thank you so much for reading. Next post will be all fashion related 🙂

Jess

Ride or Die Beauty Faves

When it comes to make-up, I feel like I am super happy with my product line ups. For years I have been trying new items, finding items that work and don't work, and finally finding my absolute favorite products that really work! I am still open to trying out new items- I mean seriously new products are released all the time and I love try all the new! But, the products that I am sharing are my true ride or die products that I use each day and have been for months. I am so passionate about these products! I hope through this post you can find something new that works for you.

1. Primer

Primer is so so so important for your make-up routine. It sets the tone for how all of your make-up will set throughout the day. I have tried MANY primers, all which I love. However, I have found a primer that is better than all the rest. I mean it. It keeps my skin smooth, oil free, and fresh looking all day. This Tatcha Silk Canvas Primer is the best- and worth every penny. I personally started with the mini size and it lasted me about three months. So if you are hesitant, then try the mini size. You will fall in love.

2. Foundation

I have raved about my favorite foundation forever and I am so happy to hear that people are finally starting to use it! I use the Fenty Beauty Pro Filt'r Soft Matte foundation in the color 180. I love this foundation because it truly works well through all seasons. It holds up on hot humid days and looks great in the dry winter months. I have been using this foundation for over a year now and do not plan on switching it up! For me its great because I have scars from years of acne and this covers it so well without looking cakey. If you like full coverage foundation, try this one!

3. Concealer

My love for Fenty Beauty continues when it comes to concealer. I have recently traded out my Tarte Shape Tape (which I still do love), for the Fenty Beauty Concealer. It goes on SO smooth and does not crease at all! I have also noticed that it helps cover my dark circles and lasts all day. I wear color 185.

4. Setting Powder

When it comes to setting powder, I am super picky. I have tried so many different ones. For me, I need something that keeps my skin looking fresh all day, keeps my make up in place, and helps brighten my under eyes. I first use the Fenty Beauty Instant Retouch Setting Powder in the color Lavender. I use a damp beauty blender and dab this under my eyes and let it set for a few minutes. Next, all over my face I use the Too Faced Peach Blur Translucent Smoothing Finishing Powder. I have found that the combination of these two work perfectly!

5. Brows and Eyes

For my eyebrows I always use the Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz in the color Taupe. Then, after filling in my brows, I go through the brow gel that holds those bad boys down all day! So necessary! Then, I use the Mac Paint Pot in the color, Painterly. I refuse to try any other eye primer- my girlfriend in college gave me one of these (because she had extra and taught me all about make up!)- and I haven't stopped using them since. This is necessary if you want your eyeshadow to last all day and look creaseless! After my eyes are primed, I use my all time favorite (most days) Too Faced Natural Eyes palette. Then, I use my favorite eyeliner, that is drugstore and so affordable! I use the Maybelline Curvitude liquid liner. The liner is followed by my favorite lash line up- Loreal Voluminous Primer, It Cosmetics Superhero mascara, and finally Lancome Monsieur Big mascara.

6. Bronzer, Blush, Highlight

For Bronzer, I love anything by Becca or Nars. Both have colors that are pigmented and last all day on your face. I switch off all the time between two of my favorite palettes. Both of the ones I use are older and I can't find the links. However, I will link two similar ones! Here is one from Nars. Here is a Becca Bronzer that is great as well. I personally like palettes that have bronzer and blush all in one, and this one has just that! It's super similar to the one I have. This one also has highlighter in it. If you are someone who likes highlighter, my favorite is the Becca Champagne Pop highlighter.

7. Last Steps: Setting Spray and Lip

To finish up my make-up routine, I always end with the Morphe Setting Spray- this stuff is amazing! As for lips, I start by lining my lips with the Marc Jacobs lip liner in the color Prim(rose). After lining, I go over my lips in the NYX Lip Lingerie in the color Babydoll. This color looks much darker in the bottle, but is BEAUTIFUL! Finally, if I want a glossy look I top it with the Buxom Plumping Lip Polish in the color White Russian.

Whew! If You made it to the end- congrats- I know that was a lot of information! I hope some of this information is useful. These are my definite favorites and I feel passionate about them. Shop all the items below!

Jess

Fun Fourth of July Outfits

How is it possible June is almost over!? Is it just me or did this month fly by? With that being said, July 4th is days away and I cannot wait. July 4th has to be one of my top three favorite holidays! It is such a fun day with powerful meaning and it's in the summertime. Every Fourth of July we make sure to have fun plans and I of course have an outfit planned ahead of time! What are you planning on doing for the fourth? I can't wait to see all the fun pictures from cookouts, pool parties, fireworks, baseball games, and all the outfits that come with it.

If you are still looking for something to wear for the fourth, you still have time! There are some super cute options out there. I have rounded up some of my favorite affordable pieces that can all be worn more than once and multiple ways. The first five items I have to share are from one of my favorite retailers- Forever 21 (obviously).

IMG_5766

I wanted to find looks for the Fourth that can be worn more than one time. One of my favorite pieces here are these amazing distressed jeans.

These jeans are under $30 and can be worn this summer and into the fall. The color of them is great! I thinK the star hoops would be so fun with the white blouse and red and white striped skirt! I would pair that outfit with wedges or sneakers.

Shop these looks here!

//one//two//three//four//five//

IMG_5773

The next five items are from Vestique, which is another one of my favorite retailers. My favorite thing about the items I picked out from Vestique are not only affordable, but they are all great pieces you can add to your summer wardrobe. The white eyelet romper (which actually looks like a dress) is exactly what I plan on wearing for the Fourth! I love this paired with colorful shoes or everyday wedges like these ones. I also love this blue and white striped skirt with a white blouse or fun graphic t-shirt. I am sure there are some adorable graphic t-shirts that are American themed for the fourth!

Shop these looks here and be sure to use my code- JESSWEBB10 at checkout for 10% off your purchase!

//six//seven//eight//nine//ten//

I hope you have a fantastic weekend and find the perfect outfit you're looking for for the Fourth! Happy Shopping!

Princess Polly Haul

IMG_5661

If you have never shopped Princess Polly before, it is time to start! They have some of the cutest dresses, skirts, tops, and playsuits. Along with their cute options, they also have great shipping to the US and often offer lots of promo codes on your order.

IMG_5662

When ordering from Princess Polly, I read a few sizing recommendations. In the taupe floral dress, I got a US size 6, which is perfect because it is very flowy. For the white floral dress, I got a US size 8, but could have gone up one size. In the playsuit, I got a US size 6, but do wish I had sized up one. I like a little extra length in my rompers!

I think my favorite thing from this whole order is the taupe floral dress. It is perfect for an event in the summer, fall with booties and a hat, and winter with tall boots! Can you get a more versatile dress? It is stunning! Be sure to give Princess Polly a look a check for their frequent new arrivals. Happy shopping!

XO,

Jess

Styling Graphic T-Shirts

IMG_4374

I am a new fan of all the fun graphic t-shirts out right now. They are so fun to style with a fun stylish skirt, shorts, or pair of pants. I will admit when I first noticed the trend of graphic tees, I was hesitant to try it out because it was a little out of my comfort zone. On our recent trip to Nashville, I asked my dad if he would pack me one of his band tees so I could style it with a leather skort. Sure enough, he packed me a Metallica t-shirt from the 80's and it looked AMAZING with a leather skort and lace up heels. Again- out of my comfort zone, but so so fun to try. Remember to always try to push out of your comfort zone when it comes to trends! You will be pleasantly surprised.

The first graphic t-shirt that I am styling is from Vestique- one of my absolute favorite boutiques to shop. If you have not shopped them yet, I highly encourage you to. Their stuff is so awesome! I have styled this shirt three simple and very different ways. Each way of styling it can be worn for different reasons- concert, night out, casual dinner or lunch. I love the look of the t-shirt being a little oversized, and tying it up at the waist. It gives it a more pulled together look and is very flattering. You could also easily front tuck it into a pair of jeans and be good to go.

IMG_4304

The way I have paired the t-shirt here is a way I would actually wear it all the time. I have it paired with a pair of cut off high-waist denim shorts and fun snakeskin print heels. This look is fun for going out with friends on or could be dressed down with flat sandals for running errands. This exact pair of shorts is from Forever 21 last year, but I will link similar styles at the end of the post! These snakeskin shoes are incredible and Steve Madden, from Marshalls! I couldn’t even believe it!

IMG_4275

The second way I am styling the t-shirt is with a faux leather skort and lace up black heels. This look is a great weekend outfit or even better for a concert. I love how the faux leather skort makes the t-shirt have an edgier look.

IMG_4249

The final way I have styled this graphic t-shirt is with a silky mid-length leopard skirt that I just found this past weekend at Forever 21. This skirt is amazing and only $20!! I had been on the hunt for an animal print mid-length skirt to style with t-shirts and this one not only looks great but was also very affordable. Thank you Forever 21! This whole outfit is very out of my typical style but it is fun to try new things and I think this would be such a cute outfit for a dinner date or night with friends. You could easily style this down by pairing the skirt with a pair of white sneakers, maybe some Golden Goose look-alikes :)!

There you go! Three simple ways to style a graphic t-shirt all with items you might even have in your closet.

IMG_4326

Lastly, I have styled one more graphic t-shirt (tank) with a pretty ruffled skirt and the same snakeskin heels. Both the tank and skirt are from Vestique and I just think pairing the tank with a skirt and heels gives it such a feminine vibe. I think this is my favorite look out of all!

I have linked some adorable graphic t-shirts below that I am loving right now. I think adding these to your wardrobe this summer will be a great idea. Happy shopping!

Amazon Finds Under $50

Not only is Amazon a marketplace for everything needed in your home it's quickly becoming a place where you can find amazing clothing pieces for really great prices. When it comes to shopping ON Amazon, I pay close attention to reviews. The reviews are super helpful to see if the quality of the item is good and how it fits. So, if you are ever nervous about ordering clothes from Amazon- don't be! Read the reviews and shop away. Also, it's a definite plus if it is on Prime- hello two day shipping!

My shopping bag on Amazon recently has been strictly dresses, bathing suits, and accessories. Really gearing up for summer! The first outfit I am sharing is a precious floral romper that has sheer sleeves, has an open back, and would be perfect for a vacation or fun occasion. I ordered a large in the romper, but would prefer a medium as the sleeves are kind of long! This rompers quality is very good and was only $25! I paired this romper with the prettiest earrings also from Amazon and such a good price. The earrings come in so many fun colors and look super similar to pair from BaubleBar. Love love them!

IMG_4157
IMG_4154
IMG_3994

The next dress I have is a gorgeous white lace overlay one that I posted on my stories earlier this week. This dress is SO SO good. I got the white in a size large, which is perfect for work. If you want the dress for work, size up, if you want it for more fun type events, go normal size. When I got this dress in the mail, I was ecstatic- the quality of it is shockingly good. For work, I paired it with a jean jacket and nude heels and it was perfect. This dress also comes in the prettiest baby blue color!

I paired this dress with another fun pair of earrings I just got from Amazon, that are another amazing dupe of a pair from BaubleBar at a fraction of the price. I am obsessed with white beaded earrings lately and thankfully just got these in to further that obsession. I have literally been wearing the same white beaded earrings almost every other day!

IMG_4159
IMG_4161

Here is a close up of the earrings I just got in. The two white ones came in a two pack- which is perfect and the blue one is sold on its own. I already want to order more! If you're looking for fun statement earrings for the summer, these are the ones you need.

IMG_4082
IMG_4175

I have one more dress that won't be in until Thursday, but I will link it below, along with a few other things in my wishlist. Happy shopping! I hope everyone has a great week:)

Jess
