Fall is so close (yet feels so far with this 80 degree weather!) that I can barely wait to wear all my favorite fall pieces. One of my favorite items to spice up a look with in the fall is a jacket. I love faux leather jackets, suede, faux fur, fuzzy jackets, trenches, blazers- everything! To me, a jacket absolutely makes the outfit complete in the fall when its cold enough. I also have to make sure my jacket matches my outfit just right!
Building up your wardrobe is tricky and sometimes adding pieces like jackets can seem like the last thing you want to do. I try my best to find quality and timeless pieces that will go from year to year. I also try to buy jackets in the off season- they always go on sale! Some of my favorite jacket brands are BLANKNYC Denim, Topshop, and Forever 21 (very affordable and on trend). I saved up and bought my first BLANKNYC Denim Moto jacket last year and it was one of my favorite purchases- of all time. I have worn it endlessly! I will link the one I have here.
One of my favorite ways to style a jacket for fall is with a mini dress or skirt and sweater combo. The jacket will help keep you warm and make your whole outfit look put together. If you are shopping for new jackets for fall, my advice would be to have at least one faux leather jacket- in a neutral color either grey or black, and one suede one in a different color.
